Single-story ranches and newer subdivisions
A lot of East Wenatchee is single-story homes with long, low rooflines. Those are some of the most affordable homes to light, because the whole run can be done safely from a ladder and the price is mostly linear footage.
The newer neighborhoods up the hill tend to have two stories, more gables, and garage peaks facing the street. Outlining the peaks and the garage is usually where the most visual impact is per foot, so that’s where we start the design before deciding how much of the back roofline is worth lighting.
